January 2020. Urkovici, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Urkovci is a small hamlet in Bratunac, a municipality located in the easternmost part of Republika Srpska, the Serb Republic in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this small village like in many others across the country, even twenty-five years after the end of the conflict, new houses cohabit nearby lingering ruins of the war, leaving the landscapes still scarred by the physical signs of the past violence.
